ant-cd103

LigoCyte has two therapeutic antibody programs under development. One of the programs is focused on antibodies that block the activity of CD103 (integrin alpha-E beta-7). The other is developing antibodies targeting CD62E and CD62L (E- and L-selectin).

CD103 is a target that is associated with mucosal inflammation, with a key role in retaining activated lymphocytes in chronically inflamed tissues. Anti-CD103 therapies have the potential to treat a wide variety of diseases including reactive airway disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and autoimmune diseases like arthritis and lupus. LigoCyte’s CD103 development program is partnered with Biogen Idec, who shares co-development and co-commercialization rights. Click Here for more information on LigoCyte’s CD103 program.

CD62 is a target that is also associated with a broad range of inflammatory diseases. CD62E and CD62L are involved in the recruitment of neutrophils and monocytes from the bloodstream into the lung as an integral pathway in chronic pulmonary inflammation. Antibodies against CD62 may be useful in treating reactive airway diseases including COPD and asthma. LigoCyte is working with the NIH through a continuing Phase II SBIR grant to develop a humanized anti-CD62 antibody for clinical study. Click Here for more information on LigoCyte’s CD62 program.
